UTICA — A memorial service for Wanda L. Grueser, 80, of Utica, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica, with Pastor Nelson Smith officiating.

Family and friends may call Saturday, from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Wanda passed away at her residence Feb. 8, 2018. She was born in Portsmouth to the late Willard O. and Lillie M. (Wicker) Qualls.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Utica. Wanda was very thoughtful and always there to help others.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Scott of Utica; grandchildren, Micki Renae Emory and Jeremiah Ray (Isabel) Emory, all of Alma, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Brian, Xander, Jordan, Emily, Aiden and Aizen; sisters, Ruth (Larry) Walters and Barbara Pantz; brother, Donald (Linda) Qualls; sister-in-law, Lil Wilburn; and special friends, Tony Wayne and Nancy Newton.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John D. “Jack” Grueser; son, Brian Keith Grueser; sister, Doris Hickman; brother, James Qualls-Wilburn; and brother-in-law, Randy Pantz.
