MOUNT VERNON— According to Knox County health commissioner Julie Miller, the health department is in need of a nurse practitioner for its health clinic that can work Monday through Friday due to consistent demand throughout the week.

Currently, Nurse Practitioner Jacqueline Neighbarger works at the health department Monday through Thursday through a partnership with Knox Community Hospital. Her current contract with KCH provides for a 32 hour work week meaning she only works four days each week.

However, according to Miller, there is just as much need for a nurse practitioner on Fridays as there is Monday through Thursday.
