FREDERICKTOWN — With the fire from the gas heater roaring away and a table full of good things to eat, it was just another relaxing Sunday afternoon with family and friends at Fredericktown Community Park. It was enough to forget that it was only 20 degrees outside.

The mid-winter chill is no kind of weather for baseball, but the Knox County Dartball League is in mid-season form, with five teams representing local Grange organizations.

Dartball is a derivative of baseball, but it is played with darts. It’s a game of skill that can be played by young and old alike.
