MOUNT VERNON — A funeral service for Harold P. Lupher, 90, of Mount Vernon will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Terry Holobaugh officiating. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at the funeral home.
Mr. Lupher passed away Dec. 4, 2017, at Brookdale Senior Living, Mount Vernon. He was born in Utica on July 7, 1927, to the late Preston C. and Mary (Pry) Lupher.
Harold served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of the Utica Sertoma and 4-H Advisor for the Glow Worms. He attended Rio Grande where he played football and also attended Capital University.
Harold is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Richard Hardman of Howard, stepchildren, Jim and Louise Leasure of Newark, Dianna Thomas of Utica, and Sharon and Jerry Cashdollar of Newark; two grandsons, Gary (Teri) Myers and Greg (Jamie) Myers; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; 11 step-grandchildren, 26 step-great-grandchildren, five step-great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Rowanna Lupher and Betty Lupher; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie E. (Kitchen) Lupher; brothers, Lowell, Ronald, Donald and Richard Lupher; stepdaughter, Marcella Flowers; three stepgrandchildren.
