MOUNT VERNON — On a chilly Sunday afternoon it’s hard to imagine a more cheerful and fun environment than that found at the 2017 Mount Vernon Christmas Walk. The walk provided free entertainment for the whole family with pony, carrousel and train rides for the kids, shopping and a craft show for the young at heart and holiday family activities at several local businesses.

A new attraction at this year’s walk was the Jingle Bell Marketplace craft show held in the newly remodeled Knox County Memorial Building. Shoppers enjoyed two floors of vendors and booths offering a wide variety of crafts and gifts perfect for the season.
