MOUNT VERNON — After a year of compiling data, City Law Director Rob Broeren is ready to enter into contracts with each incorporated village in the county to continue to represent them in misdemeanor cases in Municipal Court.

Broeren said the contracts will be for a token amount of $1 per year. The practice started in 2017, he said, to establish his legal authority to represent the villages.
