The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a

* Flood Warning for…
Richland County in north central Ohio…
Marion County in north central Ohio…
Ashland County in north central Ohio…
Morrow County in north central Ohio…
Knox County in north central Ohio…

* Until 445 AM EST Sunday

* At 442 PM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that heavy rain was falling over the area. The heavy rain will cause flooding. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen. Heavy rainfall will move through the area through 600 pm with lighter rain following afterwards. An additional inch or more is possible. This will cause small streams and creeks to rise quickly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Mansfield, Marion, Ashland, Mount Vernon, Mount Gilead, Shelby, Ontario, Lexington, Crestline, Loudonville, Fredericktown, New London, Gambier, Cardington, Bellville, Plymouth, Centerburg, Ashley, Prospect and Danville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
