MOUNT VERNON — Turkey Day is right around the corner. So now is the time to choose a recipe that will create a tasty, juicy turkey that your whole family will happily devour on Thanksgiving.

Rick Rollinger, chef and director of catering at Smithhisler Meats Inc., 8835 Columbus Road, told the News that the secret to preparing a delicious turkey depends on the type of turkey purchased, the marinade and the cooking method. Rollinger is a stickler for using fresh, free-range turkeys.
