NEWARK — Tyler Mickley had one of the most memorable Danville touchdown runs in recent memory Friday.

The 5-foot-10, 152-pound senior broke through the line and ran right into a pile of Trimble defenders. Seconds later, Mickley had squirmed free.

Then he stopped, allowing another would-be tackler to fly right past him.

By the time Mickley reached the endzone, the Danville fans were on their feet, and the Blue Devils seized the momentum in their 27-10 victory at their Division VII regional semifinal contest, played at Newark’s White Field.
