MOUNT VERNON — Judge John Thatcher sentenced the following on misdemeanor charges in Mount Vernon Municipal Court on Monday. They are:

Samuel L. Shaffer, 25, Columbus, driving under suspension/failure; $200 fine plus court costs.

Rebecca S. Anderson, 35, Mount Vernon, telecommunications harassment; 180 days in jail with credit for one served and 179 days suspended, and placed on two years of probation.

Nicholas L. Higgins, 37, Mount Vernon, misuse of 911; three days in jail, with credit for one day served, and pay court costs.

Kiknei M. Rush, 35, Mount Vernon, petty theft; five days in jail and pay court costs.

Mary M. Kirkpatrick, 57, Mount Vernon, falsification; 180 days in jail with all jail time suspended, complete an alcohol and drug assessment within 60 days, complete 15 hours of community service, serve a one-year term of probation, and pay court costs.

William D. Fuller, 35, Mount Vernon, obstructing official business; 90 days in jail, with all jail time suspended, serve a two-year probation term, and begin a mental health assessment within seven days.

Steven J. Garrad, 50, Mount Vernon, theft; 180 days in jail, with all jail time suspended, serve a two-year probation term, complete an alcohol and drug assessment within 60 days, and pay court costs.

David W. Grubb, 30, Mount Vernon, possession of drug abuse instruments; 90 days in jail, two years of probation, complete an alcohol and drug assessment within 60 days, a 180-day operator’s license suspension, and enroll in a random drug screening program.

Nicholas J. Bowe, 34, Mount Vernon, petty theft; 20 days in jail, with credit for time served, and to pay court costs.

Corey A. Carpenter, 25, Mount Vernon, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol; 180 days in jail, with 177 days jail time suspended and credit for three days served, a two-year probation term, attend one AA meeting per week, schedule a 72-hour driving intervention program within seven days and attend such intervention, pay a $500 fine plus court costs.
