MOUNT VERNON — Things got a little eerie after classes let out at the Knox County Career Center on Tuesday as students prepared for the KCCC community trick-or-treat event.

Besides making marker signs to direct their young guests, the older set in Early Childhood Education were busy creating games for them to enjoy. They included activities with intriguing names such as “Pumpkin Toss,” “Candy Corn Bowling” and “Lollipop Pumpkins.”

Several cosmetology students were helping, too, as they transformed “normal” Teacher Academy kids into not-so-terrible trolls, using a more modern version of the beehive hairdo, complete with streaks of color. Whimsical clothes and fanciful face makeup helped to complete the metamorphosis.
