MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon Yellow Jackets (2-5, 1-2 OCC) are looking for better luck in Week 8 than they have had for the past three weeks.

Despite the fact that the game is scheduled for Friday the 13th, the stars seem to be lining up correctly this week, as the Jackets will host another Ohio Cardinal Conference rival, the Mansfield Madison Rams.

With a defense that allows an average of 50.7 point per game, the winless Rams may be more like the sacrificial Rams against a revved up Mount Vernon offense led by quarterback Jaxon Gregory, who threw for 371 yards, going 19-for-45 in last Friday’s 45-21 loss at Wooster.
