Geoff Cowles/News Mount Vernon resident Parker Gregg revs up his Honda TRX 450R quad ATV. He looks to resume his motocross career this spring, after finishing baseball season.

MOUNT VERNON — For 17-year-old Mount Vernon High School senior Parker Gregg, it’s all about speed.

Lately, that means patrolling shortstop and the outfield for Rocky’s Complete Auto Care of the Knox County Babe Ruth Fall League. This spring, he’ll be doing the same for the Mount Vernon Yellow Jackets.

This winter, however, he wants to kick it up a few gears. Gregg, an avid motocross rider, is rebuilding his damaged Honda TRX 450R quad ATV. He hopes to get back on the track in the spring of 2018. For seven years, he has raced in the Ohio fair circuit, as well as in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
