TAMPA, Fla. — Sally Jo Morrison, 72, formerly of Mount Vernon passed away Thursday Oct. 5th 2017, after an extended illness.

She was born Dec. 9, 1945, in Bucyrus to Chester Leroy Zimmerman and H. Jean (Houssierre) Zimmerman.

Sally graduated from Howard High School in 1963. She met and married the love of her life Kenneth W. Morrison on Sept. 27, 1968. They made their home in Belle Glade, Fla., where she worked and retired from Belle Glade Sugar Co-op. After retirement, she made her home in Tampa, Fla. with her son, Michael Morrison, and family.

Sally was a loving mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren held a very special place in her heart.

She is survived by her children, John Lyon, Stacey (Mark) Weyhmeller and Michael (Tamara) Morrison; grandchildren, Whitney (Chris) Cromer and James (Kaiti) Weyhmeller and Kaitlyn Morrison; great-grandchildren, Tristan Cromer, Marlee Cromer, Twins Annalee and Elliana Cromer, and Alayna Weyhmeller; sisters, Linda Sigman, Nancy Diehl, and Peggy Hughes; niece, Tina Schuler and nephews, Brian Hall and David Sigman.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Kenneth Morrison; parents, Chet and Jean Zimmerman; her special niece, Marcie Jo Hall; and her nephew, Scot Sigman.

To honor Sally’s wishes, no services will be held.
