MOUNT VERNON — An ordinance to amend the map of areas in the city where deer hunting can take place will be on the council agenda Monday.

Mayor Richard Mavis said the owner of a tract of about 25 acres east of Vernon View Drive, and north of Coshocton Road, has asked that his property be included in the deer hunting area.

Before the regular meeting, council will hold two committee hearings.

The first is at 6:50 p.m. and will last 10 minutes. It is to allow Auditor Terry Scott to explain the resolution “accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the budget commission, authoring the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the county auditor.”
