CENTERBURG — Women’s safety was at the heart of a special Centerburg’s Heart of Ohio Women’s Club event Tuesday night.

The Heart of Ohio Women’s Club is very community-oriented, so they wanted to come up with an activity that would get the community involved, Ronda Seligman told the News.

The club thought that a self-defense class for women would be a good idea “with the way things are nowadays,” Seligman said. She added that it’s good for women to know how to defend themselves in case anything were to happen.
