MOUNT VERNON — Rape and sexual battery charges against a Danville man which were brought to trial twice were dismissed Tuesday in Knox County Common Pleas Court.

The charges, brought against John G. Snyder, 52, in 2015, were dismissed by Prosecuting Attorney Chip McConville. McConville dismissed the charges without prejudice, meaning that the charges can be brought against Snyder again if new evidence surfaces.
