FREDERICKTOWN — The Highland Scots have dominated conference play — no matter what conference — for nearly five years.

On Thursday, the Fredericktown Freddies gave them one of their biggest tests yet.

Fredericktown had answers for nearly all of Highland’s challenges Thursday, but some early runs were too much for the Freddies to handle as the Scots won their Knox-Morrow Athletic Conference match, 25-18, 25-16, 25-21.

“It’s always a challenge, being real close to one another,” Highland coach Rob Terrill said. “It’s been a rivalry for many, many years. They always play us tough.”
