MOUNT VERNON — Cash Days 4.0 on Sunday afternoon was a busy one for Pacemakers owner Rod Zolman, who was anticipating that the impressive daytime crowd would triple or quadruple by sometime in the evening. Zolman wasn’t complaining as the street racers descended upon the historic track and gave everyone a real show.

“Our cash days have been really, big events,” Zolman said. “The grudge racing is getting really popular. It gives the guys that are street racing an opportunity to be on a track, in a safe place. We’re having a lot of fun. We found a formula that works with our scale.”
