HOWARD — Elizabeth “Libby” Morrison, 63, of Howard, passed away on Tuesday morning, Aug. 8, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with declining health. She was born in Mount Vernon on May 15, 1954, to the late Donald and Cherie (Heighton) Thompson.
Libby worked in food service at Kenyon College. She was a member of the Quarter Horse Union and the Knox County Humane Society. Libby’s hobbies were her horses, making wreaths and crafts, gardening and baking, but what gave her the most joy in life was spending time with her grandkids.
Libby is survived by her loving husband of over 44 years, Rick Morrison whom she married on June 8, 1973; daughter, Carrie (Heath Perry) Morrison of Howard; son, Donald Morrison of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Daniel Morrison and Jaylen Pruitt; sister, Juanita Addlesperger of Mount Vernon; and brother, Chester Earl Thompson of California.
The family would like to thank the ladies of Hospice of Knox County for the care they provided to Libby.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High St., Mount Vernon.
