A recent Knox Community Hospital commercial featuring a cancer survivor’s story was recognized with a bronze Telly Award, a worldwide competition honoring excellence in video advertising. Matt Starr of I-CONN Video Production, who produced the piece, presented the award to the KCH Center for Cancer Care on Monday evening.

Ohio 229 to be paved

Beginning Monday, asphalt resurfacing will take place on Ohio 229 from the Morrow County line to the Ohio 13 intersection in the City of Mount Vernon. Motorists can expect Ohio 229 to be restricted to one lane with flaggers during work hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

BWC gives $4.2M back to county

Over $4 million was returned to entities in Knox County as part of a reimbursement program through the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation.
In July, Mount Vernon received a rebate of $129,935 and Knox County received a rebate of $184,407.13. Also receiving rebates were the townships, villages, school districts and fire and EMS districts.
