New supplier for Fredericktown electric

Fredericktown will have a new electrical supplier starting in October.

Fredericktown council voted Monday to enter into a three-year contract with energy broker Palmer Energy Co. The contract is for Palmer Energy to broker for the lowest fixed rate for electricity to village residents and eligible small commercial accounts.

Northridge names new superintendent

The Northridge Board of Education on Monday hired Scott Schmidt as the district’s new superintendent, effective Aug. 1.
Schmidt is currently the assistant superintendent of Gahanna-Jefferson City School District in Gahanna and was interim superintendent for the district prior to that for a year and a half.
