ELK CITY, Okla. — Jimmy Lyons was born Nov. 8, 1995, in Westerville, Ohio. He passed away July 12, 2017, at Elk City, Oklahoma, at the age of 21 years, 8 months and 4 days.

Jimmy grew up in Danville, Ohio, before moving with his family to Granite, Oklahoma, where he graduated from high school in 2014. While in high school, he joined the Oklahoma National Guard and was in the process of transitioning to the U.S. Army. He was employed at Wal-Mart in Elk City for several years. Jimmy enjoyed hanging out with his friends, being outdoors hunting and fishing and he especially looked forward to spending time with his son, Caden.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Ronald Lyons and maternal grandfather, Richard Eugene Ammon.

He is survived by his son, Caden Omes, his mother and stepfather, Sherry and Johnny Nelson of Weatherford, Okla.; three sisters, Kayla Lyons and companion, Trey Rippetoe of Sayre, Okla., Stephanie Wiggins and husband, Brock, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Tori Henshaw of Danville, Ohio; four brothers, Reese Ammon and companion, Crystal Winters, of Granite, Okla., Jared Ammon of Weatherford, Okla., Caleb Nelson and wife, Destiny, of Elk City, Okla., and Andrew Lyons of Danville, Ohio; his maternal grandmother, Sandra Wilhite, of Mount Vernon, Ohio; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Rose, Newark, Ohio; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held Monday, July 17, 2017, at 10 a.m., at Whinery-Savage Chapel officiated by Bro. Joe Sapp. Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com.
