MOUNT VERNON — Laura Webster, operations manager of 911, told county commissioners Thursday the Mobile Command Center manned by the tactical dispatch team made a successful debut at the July 4 fireworks at Ariel-Foundation Park.

Webster explained that the tactical dispatch team handled all emergency communications at the event, which in turn could be monitored by the main dispatch center. The Mobile Command Center can also keep track of what else is going on in the county.
