MOUNT VERNON — Payment of a bill for $2,850 to the firm helping the Regional Planning Commission prepare their comprehensive plan update was the only real business at a short Regional Planning Commission meeting Thursday. Chairman Vic Turner said they hope to have the plan completed by the end of the year.

Knox County Recycling Coordinator Randy Canterbury presented a program on recycling efforts in the county, concentrating on what is recyclable. It was a condensed version of a program he has been giving to educate the public on recycling.
