Firefighters were hosing down the pile to put out the fires. Mount Vernon Fire Chief Chad Christopher said the cause is still under investigation. They were on the scene from the time of the call at 4:36 p.m. until 8:05 p.m. Mutual aid came from Fredericktown and Central Ohio Joint Fire District with engines and Utica EMS.
