Colleges collaborate with kids at Columbia

Representatives from Central Ohio Technical College, Kenyon College and Mount Vernon Nazarene University converged on Columbia Elementary recently for an assembly celebrating the fifth-graders who will be moving on to middle school next year.
The event was the culminating activity in a year-long program in which Columbia students every month meet with adult mentors (not their classroom teacher) to discuss various life topics, such goal setting, making good choices and saying no to drugs.

Small steps for Woolson, Woodward

One aspect of the dispute between Larry Woolson and the Woodward Development Corp. has been dismissed, but the remainder of the complaint remains pending.
On Friday, attorneys for Woolson filed to dismiss counts involving the dispute over air space rights over the Woolson building in the 200 block of South Main Street.
