FREDERICKTOWN — A Memorial Day ceremony for Fredericktown is scheduled for Monday, May 29.

Events begin at 9:30 a.m. on May 29 at the east side of the square.

The flag will be raised at 9:45 by the Boy Scouts, National Anthem by the Fredericktown High School Band, invocation by Mr. Ross Carter (retired Assist. Chaplain U.S. Army), and Laying of Wreath by Village Administrator Dean Grogg.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. to Forest Cemetery. At the cemetery, the Fredericktown High School and Junior High School bands will play and the presentation of wreaths will be done by Gold Star Families, American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary.

The address will be given by retired LTC Randy Ruhl. Ruhl is a Fredericktown High School graduate and spent 21 years in the Army as an Infantry Officer.

He is a graduate of advanced Infantry School, Airborne and Ranger schools, Command and War Colleges.
