MOUNT VERNON — The CollegeU-Business and Skilled Trades Aptitude Readiness Training programs were featured Thursday at the Knox County Career Center school board meeting.

CollegeU-Business instructor Tammy Klein and students Julia Greenich and Alynnza Brady talked about why they chose the program and what they like about it. The students said it was a little challenging having college level classes as juniors, but appreciate the opportunity to earn a college associate degree while still in high school.

“The classes are applicable toward life,” said Greenich, “and we are getting some opportunities we otherwise wouldn’t have.”
