MOUNT VERNON — Crickets on South Main opened its doors Wednesday at 120 S. Main St. to give the community a chance to shop from their various vendors for items from the past that will make the look and feel of their home seem vintage and timeless. The Knox County Chamber of Commerce assisted them with the ribbon cutting ceremony and the ownership of Crickets, and many of their 17 vendors were on hand to answer any questions about the store and what they will be selling.

Ann Laudeman described the kind of atmosphere that she, Barbara Gibson, and the other owners, Ann Hudson, Cindy Sperry, Laurie Duchesne and Perry Brokaw, wanted for the store. They wanted it to feel like home.
