MOUNT VERNON — Generous donors make it possible for gifted and talented high school students from around the county to participate in the Summer Honors program. The program is coordinated by Don Garvic of the Knox County Educational Service Center.

On Wednesday, the KCESC school board gratefully accepted the following additional donations to the Summer Honors Institutes fund: $5,000 from Ariel Corp. Donor Advised Fund; $2,000 from the Youth Philanthropy Initiative; and $495 from the Blizzard Family Fund.
