MOUNT VERNON — The Foundation for Knox Community Hospital will be hosting the “Spring and a Song” benefit auction in the Gund Commons at Kenyon College on Tuesday, from 6-9 p.m. The event will benefit the Knox Community Hospital Birthing Center, and the entire community is invited.

The foundation’s goal is to raise funds to purchase wireless maternal-fetal monitors and an advanced training birthing simulator.

“The community has been very generous in donating to the auctions,” stated Charlie Brenneman, the chair of the Foundation for KCH. “There is something for everybody — from yoga classes to 8 tons of topsoil. We expect this to be a fun, high-energy event that will help us raise the funds necessary to purchase this new equipment.”

Singer and comedienne Mary Miller will provide the entertainment while auctioneer John Ruckman will preside over the bidding.

Tickets to the event may be purchased online at www.kch.org/foundation or by contacting Lori Wilkes at 740-393-9602.
