DANVILLE — The village of Danville said goodbye to its village administrator and hello to his replacement.
Robert Shipley retired after 27 years of service to the community and was honored with a party and plaque at the village council meeting Monday.
Mayor Bob Dile read a proclamation recognizing Shipley and his “years of unwavering dedication to the village and its residents.” Following an executive session to discuss personnel at the end of the meeting, council agreed to compensate Shipley up to $11,000 for his outstanding vacation and sick pay.
