APPLE VALLEY — On Monday evening, about 50 local gardeners met to chat, dine and learn more about gardening at the annual Knox County Garden Clubs meeting, held at the Apple Valley Clubhouse.
“Knox County Garden Clubs has eight different clubs and once a year we meet together here,” Knox County Garden Clubs President Audrey Spearman told the News. “There used to be 30-some, but that was back in the ’40s and ’50s, right after World War II.”
