CENTERBURG — Centerburg High School on Friday received a call from a community member that their child had seen a posting stating that a young man made specific threats of violence in a Facebook messenger group discussion. The threats were directed at the school and they were specific to the type of weapon.

Upon receiving this information, Superintendent Mike Hebenthal told the News the principal immediately met the young man at the bus. It was determined that he did not have any weapon with him and there was no immediate threat. Law enforcement was involved and a report has been forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.
