MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Regional Planning Commission voted Thursday to recommend denial of a request to rezone a lot at 1400 Newark Road from Residential to General Business. Instead, they recommended a change from Residential to Local Business, a more restrictive category.

The recommendation will go to the Clinton Township Trustees for a final decision.
Sarah Cascioli had requested the change, explaining she planned to open a retail store offering health and wellness supplements, counseling and coaching.
