WALDO — The Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference Blue Division honored its top athletes at its annual winter banquet on Tuesday.

Cardington’s Kyndall Spires was named MOAC girls basketball Player of the Year. Spires led the Pirates with 12.9 points per game and finished among the MOAC leaders in rebounding (8.9 per game) and blocks (1.9).

Teammate Sage Brannon was awarded MOAC First Team honors, along with East Knox’s Mattea Forshey, Centerburg’s Cierra Joiner, Fredericktown’s Amber Riley and Northmor’s Maddi Swihart.

Jamie Edwards of MOAC Blue Division champ Cardington was named Coach of the Year.
