DANVILLE — Romance, intrigue and adventure await the audience on Friday and Saturday (March 17 and 18) at 7 p.m. when the Danville Drama Department presents Disney’s magical musical “Aladdin Jr.!” in the high school theater.
This familiar rags-to-riches story with a Danville twist unfolds to catchy music and dancing and is sure to delight theater-goers of all ages.
Come experience a whole new world during this adaptation of the classic Arabian nights tales. Aaron Vess portrays the street rat Aladdin, who is befriended by The Genie (Karley Ackert). Princess Jasmine (Hannah Frye) falls in love with Aladdin, but will her father the sultan (Grant Hauger) let her follow her heart or marry her off to the power-hungry evil sorcerer Jafar (Dylan Feo)? Will anyone learn to be careful about what he or she wishes for?
