FREDERICKTOWN — Continuing the momentum of last weekend’s team bowling at Colonial City Lanes, toppling pins rumbled through Trio Lanes in Fredericktown with the Knox County USBC Bowling Association doubles and singles tournament, which ran Friday through Sunday.
“It is very physical. A lot of people think that bowling is not a physical sport, but it really beats on your body a lot. You’ve got to be in good shape,” Levi Lape of Legends Sports Bar said.
Bowling is not usually seen as a sport that enhances physical fitness, but, according to Tim Carper of Colonial City Lanes, it engages muscles that one doesn’t use on an ordinary basis.
