MOUNT VERNON — Utility rates and Law Director Rob Broeren’s proposal for creating a parking violations appeals board will be the subject of discussions Monday at committee meetings before the regular city council meeting.

The Utilities Committee session to discuss the ordinance setting new wastewater rates will begin at 6:30 p.m., while the Parking Violation Bureau is the subject of the Streets and Public Buildings Committee at 6:45 p.m.

Both are on the agenda for second reading.

Also Monday, Jerry Clinger will present a report on the Hiawatha Pool to the Parks and Lands Committee at 7 p.m.
