COLUMBUS — The Centerburg Trojans will begin their postseason trek in the friendly confines of their home gym.

For every other local boys basketball team, it’s on the road they go.

Centerburg will host either Northridge or Madison Plains in the first round of the Division III sectional tournament on Wednesday, March 1, at 7 p.m. Should they win, the Trojans will play in the sectional final against either Utica at home or Grandview Heights on the road.

The draw took place Sunday. All tip-off times are slated for 7 p.m.

The Highland Scots fell one seed shy of a home game and will have to play at Granville on Monday, Feb. 27. The winner travels to Johnstown on Thursday, March 2.

Mount Vernon, the lone Division I program in the area, will face Gahanna Lincoln on Saturday, Feb. 25.

Fredericktown, another D-III school, will travel to Northmor on Wednesday, March 1, for their sectional semifinal. The winner will face either Bishop Ready or Liberty Union.

Among D-IV schools, Danville and East Knox both received byes into the sectional finals. The Blue Devils will travel to Fairfield Christian, while the Bulldogs go to Wellington. Both games are set for Thursday, March 2.

District semifinals begin the following week, with all finals taking place March 10-11.
