City examining water budget

City officials, including Mayor Richard Mavis, Auditor Terry Scott, Utilities Director Matthias Orndorf, Engineer Brian Ball and Safety-Service Director Joel Daniels have been dissecting the water/wastewater budget to determine what rate increases are needed in water and sewer rates to keep those operations in the black, as required by state law.
