Virgil Shipley/News The driver of the car in the background, Randi Brokaw, 30, Loudonville, was treated for minor injuries at Knox Community Hospital after this crash Monday at 3 p.m. on Ohio 205, at the north edge of Danville. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the driver of the truck was Levi Baker, 31, Danville. No additional details were available this morning as the investigation is ongoing.

Neel Awwiller, left, of Fredericktown and Justin Hearn of Pataskala both bagged coyotes on the first drive of the day on Saturday. They said they were giving the pelts to a friend who is making a rug from them.

Traditional hunt targets coyotes

In the past 30 or so years, coyote have moved back into Ohio, settling in and reproducing to the extent that they are found in all 88 counties and have become a nuisance to livestock owners. Owners of cats and small dogs also have to be wary of the smart, adaptable canines that are even being spotted in cities.
