MOUNT VERNON — A quiet Sunday morning in Mount Vernon? Forget it.
Colonial City Lanes was filled to capacity with bowlers and fans of some of the best high school bowling teams in central Ohio for the Highland High School Invitational.
“Our kids were super excited,” said Highland assistant coach Amber Brubaker. “There was a new competitiveness with them. We have a lot of new bowlers and this was their first time in a tournament setting. It’s something that we hadn’t seen before and it was exciting.”
