MOUNT VERNON — The 400 veterans in the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky are going to have a big Christmas as most of the AmVets posts in Ohio will provide gifts for the veterans. The Mount Vernon Post 95 is making a large contribution of gifts and money.

A Christmas tree in the lobby of the post has envelopes with suggestions for gifts for the veterans. Among the suggestions are hygiene items, games, crafts and clothing. Post 95 will include $500 for other items needed by the veterans.
