MOUNT VERNON — Kay Griesmyer joined her daughter, Caroll, at 5:50 p.m., on Thanksgiving eve. She re-united with Caroll and her son, Bob, after devoting her life to them. She was born June 16, 1922, in New Kensington, Pa.

She had lived at 3 Delano Street since coming to Mount Vernon in 1950 with her husband, Jack Griesmyer, a cutter at Pittsburgh Plate Glass, and their daughter, Caroll Ann Vaughn (Griesmyer). She was preceded in death by her son, Bob; by her daughter who she cared for nearly all her life; and her husband.

She remained optimistic till her last day, and was cherished by all who knew her.

She is survived by a grandson, Chris Vaughn of California, and many nieces and nephews.
