HOWARD — The East Knox Bulldogs have endured their share of disappointment this season. On homecoming evening, however, they would not be denied.
The Bulldogs’ offense put together a 450-yard, seven-touchdown performance to thrash the visiting Berne Union Rockets, 45-20, in their nonconference matchup on Friday. For East Knox coach Calvin Hatfield, it was a long wait that was finally rewarded.

Running back Dylan Wears led the Bulldogs’ attack on the ground, rolling up 219 yards on 14 carries including a 56-yard run that set up the Bulldogs first score — a 19-yard run, also by Wears.
