FREDERICKTOWN — The undefeated Highland Scots volleyball team rolled into Fredericktown on Thursday to play their very first Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference matchup against the Freddies, who were 2-0 in the MOAC Blue Division going into last night.
It hardly started out as a battle for divisional supremacy as the Freddies (2-2, 2-1 MOAC) fell flat early. Although they fought back later, they were swept by the Scots, 25-3, 25-15, 25-22.
The Scots (8-0, 3-0 MOAC) were nearly flawless in the first set, jumping ahead 5-0 and stretching their lead to 20-2. Fredericktown had trouble handling the serving of Highland’s Carley Gahm, Megan Oder and Kam Terry.
