SPARTA — The Highland Scots just keep on rolling.
The volleyball team improved its 2013 record to 7-0 on Tuesday, soundly defeating Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference foe Cardington-Lincoln in straight sets, 25-9, 25-11, 25-8.
Highland has dropped just three sets so far out of seven matches this season. Of the team’s victories, most were one-sided.
That isn’t hard to imagine once this team is seen in action. The front line, which included Kam Terry, Lexi Winkelfoos and Brogin Denman, dominated the net. Medan Oder, Kelsey Walters and Carley Gahm all played solidly everywhere on the court. Ashton Terrill dominated with her serves. Marlese Ferguson was outstanding with her digs. Everyone on the court was in constant communication, with the team rarely making a misstep.
