Talking with the participants of the 60-and-over men’s softball league, it becomes clear that the players are there for a variety of reasons. One motivation, however, seems to ring through in all of their responses.

11:43 am – The IndyCar Series makes a stop at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend for the Honda 200 at Mid-Ohio, and one driver couldn’t be happier. Team Penske driver Helio Castroneves, now in his seventh full season in the IndyCar Series, returns to one of his most successful tracks with thoughts of a championship on his mind.

11:42 am – In many fans’ eyes, the upcoming American Le Mans Series race this weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course may be seen as simply a second fiddle to the Indy Racing League. Those fans would be in for quite the surprise if they followed the ALMS, and perhaps knew more about it. Not only is it one of the most unique racing series around, it is full of excellent drivers, including some very famous names from throughout racing.

7:00 pm – General Motors touted Saturn as “a different kind of car” when it introduced the brand in 1990. The Saturn lineup was supposed to make the American automotive giant competitive with foreign car companies, which for years had been carving out bigger and bigger chunks of the domestic market.
